Purpose of the game

Choose your favorite festival artists. They earn points as performances and special moments happen on stage. The leaderboard grows in real time during the festival. Whoever chose the best artists wins.

How to play

One of you creates the game with the festival name and artist list. Everyone has a week or two to choose their 8 favorite artists — their "roster". The market closes a week before the event: from then on, you can't change your choice. During the festival, every time an artist in your roster does something (plays a song, gets a standing ovation, sings a surprise duet), you earn points. The leaderboard updates in real time. At the end, whoever has the roster with the most points wins.

• Performed a song +1 (max 20 per artist).
• Standing ovation +10 (max 2 times).
• Sang a medley +5 (max 2 times).
• Sang a surprise duet +8 (max 2 times, with note).
• Opened the festival +2 (once).
• Closed the festival (headliner) +5 (once).
• Did an encore +3 (max 3 times).
• Interacted with the audience +2 (max 2 times).
• Played an unusual instrument +4 (once, with note).
• Was a surprise performer +12 (once, with note).
• Memorable performance +6 (once, with note).
• Sang a new song +3 (max 2 times).
• Had technical problems -4 (once, with note).
• Very short set -3 (once, with note).
• Didn't show up -20 (once).
• Special tribute +7 (once, with note).
• Trending on Twitter during live +4 (once).

When it makes sense to play it

Music festivals, big concerts, song festivals, multi-day music events. Peak season is spring and summer.
